Steel beams are structural elements that are used in construction and engineering. They are typically made of steel, which is an alloy of iron and carbon. Steel beams are used to support the weight of buildings, bridges, and other structures, as well as to provide a stable foundation for the construction. There are several different types of steel beams, including wide flange beams, I-beams, and hollow steel beams. The shape and size of the beam can be varied to suit the specific needs of the structure. Steel beams are known for their strength and durability, and they are able to withstand significant loads without bending or breaking. They are also resistant to corrosion, which makes them suitable for use in a variety of environments.
