At J Pratley & Sons Ltd we take our customers privacy seriously and follow appropriate UK rules on data Protection. Be assured that your information is used for internal purposes only. We collect basic login data such as, your email address, contact number, billing and invoice address and a password should you choose to register your details with us for easier checkout on your next visit. This information is used to identify our customers, contact you to discuss your order or any special requirements, send order confirmations and for delivery purposes. We also collect contact details for marketing purposes so we can keep you up to date with any new products we have or promotions which we are running. By using our web site, you consent to the collection and use of this information.  At J Pratley & Sons Ltd  we understand that you don't want your name and personal details sold to third parties and will not sell or trade any of your information to a third party. 

Description of Products

It is our aim that all specifications of products shown and advertised on our website are accurate and current. The product specifications advertised have been made available through suppliers, manufacturers, publications or from public-domain sources.  Due to the custom made nature of our products J Pratley & Sons Ltd cannot take responsibility for any products which have been ordered incorrectly. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure they check their order before placing it to ensure any measurements have been entered or selected correctly.

Price of goods

The prices advertised on our website are exclusive of VAT at 20% and any additional delivery charges. The total price payable for goods including both VAT and if requested any additional delivery charges will be shown in the online checkout total. Whilst every effort is made to keep our prices accurate and reflective of current product and supplier prices, due to the nature of the products there may be occasions where the price published for goods is incorrect. In this instance we will contact you immediately to advise of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel your order if necessary.


For products ordered through our website for either collection or delivery we offer secure 3D payments. All products ordered through our website must be paid for before any order is confirmed. If you prefer to speak to our friendly team regarding your order then secure payment can also be accepted over the phone or at the point of collection.

Availability of goods

We aim to stock all of the products advertised on our website but due to the nature of some of the products we stock there may at times be delays in receiving stock from our suppliers. If you have placed an order which is delayed for any reason then we will contact you as soon as we become aware. You will then have the option of continuing with your order or cancelling your order and being offered a full refund.


We offer a delivery to site within a 25 mile radius of our Burghfield premises (RG30 3XN) charged at up to £55.00. We aim to deliver within 2 – 4 working days of payment being cleared and on most items you can specify a delivery date when placing your order. All of our delivery dates are approximate and we shall not be held liable for any losses, expenses, charges or damages as a result of a delay in delivering your goods. If any product which has been ordered is out of stock then we will contact you as soon as we become aware to discuss alternative delivery , collection or arrange a full refund if necessary. Once goods have been custom made to specified sizes we are unable to offer a refund in the event of a delayed delivery.


Items for delivery will only be delivered to the address specified on the order and once delivered the customer is solely responsible for the items including any loss or damage. All goods must be inspected and checked by the customer on delivery before the delivery note is signed. Once the delivery note has been signed the customer has agreed that all products have been received and are in good condition, therefore no claims for damaged or missing items can be made. All items delivered need to be signed for and therefore someone will need to be at the delivery address to receive the goods. We are unable to leave goods, even at the request of a customer without them being received and signed for. In the instance that there is no one to accept the goods at the delivery address we will return items to our premises and contact the customer to arrange a further delivery which will be charged for at the same rate on the invoice.
